If you are stuck in bed for a long time then this is perhaps the device you have been looking for. The LEVO Hands Free Book Stand is an amazingly Victorian looking gadget that will hold any reading matter you wish to read in any position you want it.
It can be adjusted to any position you could possibly want, and will enable you to lie there in comfort, reading your books, ebooks and anything else you might wish to read, without having to hold the things in place.
Basically, as you can see, it is a stand with a flexible goose neck that has an assortment of ebook, book, magazine holders that you can connect to it, so you will need to know what sort of reading matter you wish to read using this thing, and get the appropriate extra holders as well.
To this end, they sell iPad, ereader and magazine holders as extras for the thing, so it is far from cheap, thus to my mind a bit over the top for simply sitting in your armchair to read for a while. But for those unfortunate enough to be stuck in bed for a long time, an absolute boon I feel.
It means that you can read in comfort as you eat your meals in bed, use it as a holder for your ebooks on knitting or whatever activity you have to pass the time as you are stuck in bed, with your hands free to get on with things.. eating your meals or whatever. All in comfort and ease.
I shan’t go on about it in much more detail, as the images show you clearly what it is, and how it works. I shall merely quote from the maker’s own blurb about it:-
- LEVO book holders float books in front of your line of vision while you sit, recline, or lay.
- You might like to add the LEVO Clip-on LED Light, or our eBook and Tablet Platform Kit.
- Patented cantilever design swings out over your furniture. No need for clearance under furniture.
- Adjustable height, swing, tilt, spin, fold, and roll perfectly position your book.
- We’re dedicated to perfecting your reading time. That’s why we now include a Limited LIFETIME WARRANTY
We designed the Levo book holder to eliminate tired arms, kinked necks, and sore hands. It allows you to read in ultimate comfort from virtually any location. Add an eBook and iPad adapter to it, and you’ll get the most out of your electronic devices.
So, a seriously useful and life enhancing gadget for the bed-ridden, well worth buying I would say as it will really help make life a much easier and enjoyable experience.
